Where are we?

Lakes and Dales tour.

3rd - 9th July 2004 (Saturday – Friday)

Cost: £395.00 pp

Join us at the home of Cumbria Classic Coaches in the heart of the Eden Valley. Travel on a different classic coach each day and have plenty of chances to photograph them in fantastic scenery.

Accommodation is either at Bowber Head, our 17th century bus depot (farmhouse) or a local hotel both in the beautiful Howgill Fells. Transfers available from Oxenholme, Kendal and Kirkby Stephen Railway Stations.

Itinerary:

Saturday - Arrive in time for an evening meal

Sunday - Travel up to Alston for the steam railway and museum and the views!

Monday - Visit Kirkby Stephen and local special collections

Tuesday - Join our scheduled services to Hawes and Ribblehead Viaduct

Wednesday - Excursion to Windermere, Lakeside and Holker Hall

Thursday - A chance to photograph the fleet around the local spectacular scenery

Friday - Depart after breakfast

Price includes: ensuite accommodation ~ full English breakfasts & three course evening meals and tours on different Classic Coaches
Extras: Single Supplement £50, Lunches & Entrance Fees, Insurance £15

 

Scotland Tour.

17th – 24th September 2004 (Friday – Friday)

Cost: £395.00 pp 

Enjoy a holiday in the fantastic rural tranquility of Scotland. Travel with us to stay at the cosy 3 star Wyndales Country House Hotel. We have a fantastic week planned exploring this often overlooked region of southern Scotland aboard a vintage bus.

Transfers available from the bus depot or Kirkby Stephen, Penrith and Carlisle rail stations.

Itinerary:

Friday - Travel to destination via pick ups, loo stops and a long break in Moffat. Arrive and settle in at Wyndales before the first of many delicious evening meals.

Saturday - Visit to New Lanark Mills World Heritage Site.

Sunday - Journey out to the Falkirk Wheel and canal, Boness Steam Railway and the Forth Road Bridge (and pub!).

Monday - Excursion to Summerlee Heritage Park and enjoy a local guided tour.

Tuesday - Take in the sights of Glasgow (perhaps the bus museum?).

Wednesday - Local Biggar Museum and Tarquair House.

Thursday - A tour to Edinburgh to round off the week.

Friday - Depart for home!
