Group Holidays

Following a few extremely successful group holiday this year,  we now offer tailor made group holidays for up to 14 people.  Larger groups can be accommodated in any of the many local hostelries.  If required the services of a Blue Badge Guide can be acquired. 

To give you some ideas here are some sample itineraries:

Sat. Evening of arrival - Hearty Aga cooked evening meal at Bowber Head next to the old English range.

Sun. Day 1 -  After traditional English breakfast at Bowber Head travel in one of our vintage half cabs to the Keswick area visiting Rheged on the way,  you can choose between the Cumberland Pencil, the Cars of the Stars,  or a drive down the lake to the Bowder Stone.  With lunch and shopping in Keswick.  Either stay in Keswick for evening meal and the Theatre by the Lake or back to Bowber Head for another wonderful dinner party!

Mon Day 2 -   Breakfast at Bowber Head then to the Alston/Nenthead area and take a choice of visiting the little Steam Railway, the Lead Mine, High Force waterfall.  Either stay and have dinner in the area and visit the micro brewery      

Tue Day 3 - Vintage half cab bus trip to Hawes with a historical commentary through the Mallerstang Velley.  See how Wallace & Gromits favourite cheese, Wensleydale is made, visit the ropemaker, the Dales Museum, the traditional street market and the traditional animal auction.  Return for another wonderful dinner party

Wed Day 4 - After your breakfast join us on the Eden Excursioner touring round the visitor attractions of Penrith.  Dinner

Thurs Day 5 - Probably time for a day off from vintage coaches and make your own choice from the many wonderful things to do and places to visit.  Have dinner and go to the cinema or Theatre at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal, of course by vintage coach so you can have a drink after the show and be driven home.

Fri Day 6 - How about we hire in a faster classic coach and take you to one of the wonderful historic cities of Durham or York and take the choice of visiting the Cathedral (or Minster), museums, shops etc. etc. and stay in Town for dinner and cinema or theatre and home again to Bowber Head.

Sat - After a wonderful full English breakfast at Bowber Head, reluctantly depart for home!
